Zhangjiajie · Fly Like an Avatar, Walk Like a Local

4 Days, 3 NightsChangsha, Furong Town, ZhangjiajieMin. age 6Max 6 people

About This Journey

Fly like an Avatar — rise through the mist on the world's fastest elevator, stand before the floating peaks that inspired a legend, and let the sky carry you between stone pillars older than memory. Walk like a local — descend into hidden valleys, follow a master's hands through a thousand-year-old craft, and let the quiet rhythm of Xiangxi settle into your bones. This is not just a trip to Zhangjiajie. It's a journey between two worlds — and both of them are real.

Why This Journey

Ride the Bailong Elevator — the world's tallest and fastest — through the clouds into another world, and stand before the real-life mountain that inspired Avatar

Climb the 999 steps to Tianmen Cave (Heaven's Gate) — walk the glass path above the abyss and watch the mountain speak in light

Dine above Furong Town's waterfall — a thousand-year-old town glowing like a river of stars, with stilt house silhouettes reflected on the water

Weave your own Xilankapu on an ancient wooden loom — the Tujia people never wrote their history down, they wove it, thread by thread, into every piece of fabric

4-Day Zhangjiajie Itinerary Map

Itinerary

Take the high-speed train from Changsha to Furong Town. Through the window, the flat plains gently rise into mountains — a quiet prelude to your hidden journey.

Your Locale China driver checks you into your hotel. Then, with your guide, you walk into Furong Town. Through the mist of the waterfall path, you hear stories of Tujia kings, dynasties that rose and fell, and the film Furong Town — a Golden Rooster Award winner that captured a moment in China's history.

When night falls, dinner is served at a restaurant with a front view of the waterfall. The cascading water glows like a river of stars, and the silhouettes of the stilt houses are reflected on the water. You may take a boat ride and look back at the thousand-year-old town — hanging above the waterfall.
