In the morning, you step into the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding — the world's largest panda sanctuary, built among bamboo groves and rolling slopes that echo the pandas' wild homeland. You have come to meet the city's oldest residents — creatures who have called this land home for eight million years. In the Moon Nursery, newborn cubs curl in incubators, their tiny bodies rising and falling with each breath. In the Sun Nursery, juveniles tumble through the trees, falling from branches and scrambling back up as if nothing happened.

By afternoon, you find yourself strolling along Chunxi Road. The street unfolds in glass and neon — Chengdu's most vibrant shopping stretch, where international brands sit alongside time-honored local shops, and a hundred years of urban energy have been gathered into one lively stretch. The round faces of pandas gaze down at you from billboards, a reminder that even in the heart of the city, they are never far away.

As night falls, you make your way to the seventh floor of IFS. The giant climbing panda perches on the edge of the building — it has been scaling this wall for ten years now, never quite reaching the top, yet becoming one of the city's most beloved landmarks.
